Manuals and Literature
Can the VacuAide be used for gastrointestinal suction?
No. The three main applications for the VacuAide 7305 are nasal, tracheal and oral suctioning. Gastrointestinal suctioning requires automatic intermittent suctioning, and our units provide continuous suctioning.
How often should the bacterial filter be changed? The bacterial filter should be changed if overflow occurs or every two months, whichever comes first.
How often should the collection bottle and tubing be replaced? The bottle and tubing are designed for single patient use and should be changed between patients. When using the device a visual inspection should always be carried out before use. If damage or discoloration is noted the bottle and/or collection bottle should be replaced.
Is the DeVilbiss 7305 VacuAide approved for airline use?Yes, model 7305P (with battery) meets the RTCA/D0-160D section 21 category M allowing use on airlines.
Can the DeVilbiss 7305 VacuAide be used for Emergency Medical Services in ambulances, fire departments etc?Yes, the VacuAide meets emergency suctioning standards.
How long will the battery operate the unit?Approximately 60 minutes.
What is recommended for a discharged battery?Fully charge the battery for 10-17 hours (depending on depth of discharge).
If not in use for an extended period of time are there any recommendations for keeping the
Battery in good condition?Yes, it’s our recommendation that the battery be recharged a minimum of every 6 months.
Is there an integrated battery warning signal? The VacuAide unit features three visual battery signals. The green light indicates that the battery is connected to an external power source, an amber light indicates that the battery is being charged and will go out.
Do I need a special voltage converter to use my VacuAide in a foreign country?A special voltage converter is not needed because the VacuAide has a switch-mode power supply, which automatically adjusts to voltages from 100—240 Volts AC at 60 or 60 Hz. It is, however, necessary to purchase the correct mains lead for the country you are travelling to.
How do I get replacement accessories and parts for my deVilbiss Suction Unit?As an authorized DeVilbiss Dealer, Venture respiratory Inc. is always available to supply you with all your necessary replacement parts for your Suction Unit.
What is the warranty of my Homecare Suction Unit?7305P & 7305D – 2 years from date of purchase; the internal rechargeable battery is warranted for 90 days.
