DeVilbiss Aspirator Suction Machines are available in two optionsfirst, as an easy to use Homecare Suction Machine (#7305D-D), and second, as a Lightweight, Portable Aspirator called the VacuAide Aspirator Suction Machine (#7305P-D).
Both the Homecare Suction Machine and the VacuAide Suction Machine provide all the suction and capacity necessary for oral, nasal and pulmonary aspiration for infants and adults.Both of them are lightweight and small, easily transportable from room to room. The only difference between them is that the HomeCare Unit (#7305D-D) is designed only for anywhere that AC power is available, like your home, hospital, medical facility etc. However, the VacuAid Unit (#7305P-D) come included with a Rechargeable Battery and DC power adapter, to provide operation also from an automobile, boat or an RV. This Portable VacuAid Suction Machine can operate on the go with the battery, can recharge at home or in a hotel, or can power itself from the electrical system of most vehicles.

Can the VacuAide be used for gastrointestinal suction?
No. The three main applications for the VacuAide 7305 are nasal, tracheal and oral suctioning. Gastrointestinal suctioning requires automatic intermittent suctioning, and our units provide continuous suctioning.
How often should the bacterial filter be changed?
The bacterial filter should be changed if overflow occurs or every two months, whichever comes first.
How often should the collection bottle and tubing be replaced?
The bottle and tubing are designed for single patient use and should be changed between patients. When using the device a visual inspection should always be carried out before use. If damage or discoloration is noted the bottle and/or collection bottle should be replaced.
Is the DeVilbiss 7305 VacuAide approved for airline use?
Yes, model 7305P (with battery) meets the RTCA/D0-160D section 21 category M allowing use on airlines.
Can the DeVilbiss 7305 VacuAide be used for Emergency Medical Services in ambulances, fire departments etc?
Yes, the VacuAide meets emergency suctioning standards.
How long will the battery operate the unit?
Approximately 60 minutes.
What is recommended for a discharged battery?
Fully charge the battery for 10-17 hours (depending on depth of discharge).
If not in use for an extended period of time are there any recommendations for keeping the
Battery in good condition?
Yes, its our recommendation that the battery be recharged a minimum of every 6 months.
Is there an integrated battery warning signal?
The VacuAide unit features three visual battery signals. The green light indicates that the battery is connected to an external power source, an amber light indicates that the battery is being charged and will go out.
Do I need a special voltage converter to use my VacuAide in a foreign country?
A special voltage converter is not needed because the VacuAide has a switch-mode power supply, which automatically adjusts to voltages from 100240 Volts AC at 60 or 60 Hz. It is, however, necessary to purchase the correct mains lead for the country you are travelling to.
